Chet Day points out in his review of the Aquasana AQ-4000 that the system is very easy to install, which is a plus for anyone not extremely technically-inclined. Additionally, Chet points out that each gallon of filtered water costs less than ten cents, which is a far cry from what gallons of bottled water cost.
Those of you living in California will also be pleased to know that this system has California Certification. Chet states that, "California Certification is the Gold Standard in the water filtration industry and signifies compliance with the most stringent testing standards in the United States."
As if all of that wasn't enough, it's also important to note that this water filter was voted "Best Buy" by Consumers Digest Magazine six years in a row (from 2003 through 2008). Not only are consumers praising this water filtration system, but renowned sources are as well.
So, to review, the Aquasana AQ-4000:

Through all our research, we found only one review that took a negative spin on the Aquasana AQ-4000 water filtration system. Consumer Dave stated in his Amazon.com review that "when turning the water 'on', it takes a while longer than I would like to pressure up and get the full stream." Additionally, he states that "after the water is turned 'off', it drips (a stream…not just drips) for about ten seconds."
