How Do You Get Breast Cancer

Breast cancer causes
I’m a firm believer that all forms of cancer are due to such things as chronic stress, a poor lifestyle, toxins, and more. The medical community loves to put labels on things so if you get cancer in a certain place that’s the label it gets: fallopian tube cancer, testicular cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, etc. Cancer is cancer, a mutation of healthy cells. A warning from your mind and body letting you know that something isn’t right and you need to take care of it right away.

After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer women get and it’s the second leading cause of cancer death after lung cancer.

Breast Cancer Rate

Statistics show that each year there will be about –
  • 207,090 new cases of invasive breast cancer in women
  • 54,010 new cases of carcinoma in situ will be found (this is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer)
  • 39,840 females will die from breast cancer
Signs of Breast Cancer

Many times there are actually no signs of breast cancer, especially in its earliest form. When there are symptoms you may find an area of your breast that feels thicker, a dimple in your breast, swelling, redness, nipple discharge, enlarged lymph node under your arm, and/or a lump.

Breast Cancer Lump

This is the sign women fear most, yet don't know who a tumor would feel. Push the tip of your tongue against the side of your cheek then feel it with your hand. See how hard that is?  This is usually how a tumor feels. Softer lumps are normally fatty tissue, especially in women with larger breasts.

Don’t be alarmed if you have one or more of these symptoms since most breast lumps turn out to be non-cancerous (benign.)

How Do You Get Breast Cancer

Some of the most common ways women are more susceptible to breast cancer include
  • Not having children or having them later in life
  • Using birth control pills (the risk returns to normal once you stop taking them)
  • Using HRT (hormone replacement therapy) after menopause
  • Alcohol use (that is, having 2-5 drinks per day)
  • Obesity
  • Being sedentary
  • Breast implants (newer studies are showing that there could be a connection)
  • Environmental toxins (this may increase all forms of cancer)
  • Being 55 or older
  • Being female
  • Family history
  • Being Caucasian (white women get breast cancer more often than other races)
  • Having non-cancerous tumors
  • Early start of menstruation (before the age of 12)
  • Breast radiation (especially before the age of 40)
  • DES treatment (a drug that was used to help prevent miscarriage)
 Breast Cancer Cure

Anyone visiting this blog will know that I don’t agree with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. I feel it makes the problem worse not better. I believe there are hundreds of natural ways to overcome cancer. Before you resort to typical cancer therapies PLEASE get education, get informed, and make your own decisions based on what you feel is best for yourself. Never allow someone to force you into a treatment that you don’t agree with.
